"What would nowadays look like through the eyes of 2009?"

I first discovered neocities sometime in early-mid August and was instantly engrossed. I just spent the next two weeks binge-scrolling through the wonderful creations made by this community; absorbing as much inspiration as I could and learning about retro web design. Unfortunately I never had the opportunity to browse the web during the 90s and early 2000s. My family and I was a bit disconnected, and so I had only first started using the internet around 2011. However, there's always a bright side, and for me it's being able to experience the old web like anew in 2023.

Straight away when I started scrolling down the huge directory of sites on neocities I felt the need to give it a go myself. I wanted to give back to the community, and have a bit of fun while doing it. After all, I've always had a part-time passion for web design and my HDC-SD20 was just gathering dust on my desk, begging to be used. And so during those two weeks of coming up with ideas, I eventually thought to myself: what better idea than to make a throwback gallery for my 2009 camcorder!
